Edit Complete
With only a few days before the first public screening, I’ve finished editing and have turned in a mini-DV tape with the final cut to the Pumpkin Pie Project producers. Time to spend some quality time with my family as I unwind from this last push and look forward to seeing how the audience responds during the screening this weekend.
I edited this project with Final Cut Pro HD on my 17” PowerBook, using an external hard drive for media storage. For a project of this size, this set-up was almost ideal. The only things that I missed were having an NTSC monitor (for color correction) and decent speakers (for audio mixing). In the end, though, it was easy to take my external hard drive to the Stanford editing suite to do these phases of post-production.
